About Us

This site features five adversarial-collaboration research projects funded by Templeton World Charity Foundation. Our mission is to showcase the latest advances brought by these projects.

Developed by Dawid Potgieter under a project led by DataCite and funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation, we showcase results from each project as it progresses. Explore our findings and join us in uncovering the mysteries of the mind.

Science of Consciousness

Consciousness is one of the most fundamental concepts in understanding human nature and life as a whole. Decades of research have produced numerous theories of consciousness. Some of these theories present opposing viewpoints, leaving many unanswered questions to be explored.

The five featured projects use the Structured Adversarial Collaboration (STAC) model, which combines open science practices with large-scale collaborative research. The objective is to investigate the nature of consciousness through adversarial collaboration, a scientific method involving researchers with opposing viewpoints working together to design and conduct experiments.
