About Us

We explore the nature of consciousness through innovative scientific research.

This platform features five neuroscience studies, each uniquely structured as an adversarial collaboration rooted in open science.

This platform is part of a project led by DataCite and funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

Science of Consciousness

Consciousness is one of the most fundamental concepts in understanding human nature and life as a whole. It has been a persistent theme throughout humanity’s quest for knowledge, from ancient philosophical texts to cutting-edge scientific research.

Decades of research have produced numerous theories of consciousness. Some of these theories present opposing viewpoints, leaving many unanswered questions to be explored.

The five featured projects use the Structured Adversarial Collaboration (STAC) model, which combines open science practices with large-scale collaborative research.

The objective is to investigate the nature of consciousness through adversarial collaboration, a scientific method involving researchers with opposing viewpoints working together to design and conduct experiments.
